An exciting programme with colourful balloons and delicious refreshments was offered to girls and boys on board the ship. During the voyage not only could the children play and dance but they could also learn a lot about the port. A game arranged in various stations let them learn about the production process, the entire chain of cargo movements and the equipment. When the ship entered the Seaway Canal, port workers showed their kids the berths they visit every day and told about their work. Young sightseers were impressed with the sights of large ships and powerful cranes. They wished their Mums and Dads luck when implementing their important tasks and success in overcoming any challenges, sound health and timely return home where they are loved and welcomed.
The holiday was brightly crowned with a wool show literally knitting the generations together. The result of the team work with colourful balls of wool was a multicoloured web. Everyone could sway in it, test its strength and make sure of reliability of the parental support.
Upon completion of the event, the guests got the company’s presents which unite the family members. Now, the employee will have even more warm evenings with their children since time spend with families is the most precious thing.
Tatyana Isadicheva, Engineer, Industrial Ecology Department:
– It was our first tour with the company. The programme was interesting for all the children despite the age difference (7, 11 and 13 y.o.)! Nastya, the youngest, took part in the games and Alyona, who is also very active, was always in the foreground. Andrey is quieter but he was also seen dancing which is something he does not usually do. This time it was so exciting! The children hardly stopped to sit: they eat something and off they go to dance, then have a drink and run away again. We went up onto the deck and I showed my work area and it was interesting for me to see it from outside as well. Two hours flew by quickly, we liked the water tour very much!
Timur Krenichny, repair and maintenance of handling machinery:
– We used to take part in tours organized by the port earlier. We know how wonderful they are and we look forward to them every year. We would be sad to miss such an event. The children were highly satisfied with the treatment and the entertainment. They felt a little bit embarrassed at first but later they relaxed and took part in the games. The youngest was impressed with being swayed in the web made together with the parents. They returned home happy, with balloons and gifts and we liked playing Jenga on the weekend. One Jenga set will remain at home and the other one will go to our summer cottage. We are thankful to those who organized the holiday!
