Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg named one of the best transport infrastructure facilities
AO Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg (SP SPb, a company of UCL Holding) is among the winners of the National Award “Russia’s Transport Security – 2018” having taken the II place in the following category: The best transport infrastructure facility or sea/river carrier complying with transport security requirements.
The award was received by Yevgeny Serov, SP SPb Regime and Economic Security Director, at the Seventh All-Russia Conference “Transport Security and Counterterrorism Technologies – 2018” held in Kaliningrad on September 19-21.
“To some extent, today’s acknowledgment of our company as one of the best ones is a high credit of trust. And I want to assure you that both my colleagues and the management of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg are applying and will apply their best efforts and experience to guarantee security of our company and its employees”, said Yevgeny Serov in his acceptance speech.
The port was highly appreciated by the experts due to its successful projects aimed to enhance the protection of transport infrastructure facilities and means of transportation from acts of unlawful interference.
The Expert Board of the Award included representatives of RF Transport Ministry, Interior Ministry, state organizations and ad hoc associations.
The National Award “Transport Security” was established by the Transport Security Association and the Transport Security Fund with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. It has been awarded from 2015 to appreciate the achievements of state authorities, enterprises and organizations, heads and specialists of transport industry contributing to the development and improvement of transport security in the Russian Federation.
